and losing are both parts of competitive athletic endeavors. Most of us are, by strict definition, never winners. We train, eat and rest so that we might race well against ourselves. Self-knowledge and quiet wisdom is rewarded to those who approach their own limits. Self acceptance of both strength and weakness existing within our bodies and minds gives us a freedom in this world to move and love well.
This is true winning.
Once achieved there is no more agony of "de-feet."
