Call it what you will.
We all do it and try to love it. Three hours or more in the saddle, in the sneakers or in the canoe/ kayak seat.
We distract ourselves with iPods, friends and our interior monologues.
We drink strange potions by strange companies such as Heed and CytoMax.
This training prepares not only our bodies but also our minds and spirits for the discipline of the approaching summer. It inures us to the pain of racing.
Get outside and enjoy it.
