Thanks to Linda for your guess, but the Mink is not in California. He is in a warm spot but on the east coast. Mink might find himself in a "situation" where he will be pumping his fist very hard and fast. If you listen very closely you will hear the sound of the ocean breeze, seagulls harassing tourists, and you might hear a musical legend singing in the background:

Did you ever read "Where's Waldo?" It's a children's picture book where the reader needs to find the red and white striped Waldo hidden in a giant distracting picture of random characters and activities. Jeff went away for a few days to an exotic location. In the spirit of the book let's play our own version of "Where's Mink-O." I'll give you a clue and you get to guess where Mink is. The winner will get a SUPER sweet prize.
Here is your clue today:
The Mink is in the land of cheese balls. You will be blinded by the shine of tan bodies, gleaming clothing, and gelled hair. There is a strong chance that Mink will find himself in an interesting "situation." Now I ask you, Where's Mink-O?

Ok, so did everyone see yesterday's head-butt in the final few meters?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/15/mark-renshaw-head-butt-vi_n_648297.html (Scroll down to see the vid.)
Renshaw just whacked the poor fellow. He was summarily ejected from the race. But, if he wants to improve his head- butting ability, we would like suggest a few primers....
First, from the beutiful game... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF4iWIE77Ts or a more gentle version... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu53WEvxI1M&feature=related Perhaps we should look to the Irish? Very good instruction here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U9fBBIiRbY or here! (Kinda scary!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzTvmgorOy4
The best of all! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd4ivQLqhz0 What happens when one of these things gets out of control?
Foops! I'm in the Gunks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJEopoD-YYI&feature=related
The Billings is coming! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWFfC6hpvnA

Quite a few of us have been riding 29r's in The Berks. for a few years now.... The bloghead even rides one... a Redline 600 built up as a single with a stiff front end.
But now, the bloghead as a new object of lust.... Ken finished building a tricked out Niner for our friend David.... and, well, drool.
Puddles of it. Every time the bloghead passes by the frameset. He looks like a bull mastiff at feeding time. He might even be growing jowls.....
The only solution to saliva proliferation?
Well, check it out after the jump!

Well, the blog hit a bump... but we have returned!!!!
We don't sell Specialized bikes or equipment anymore... but this is brilliant! "I can eat twenty energy gels without throwing up!" "I can eat twenty one!"
Watch the Tour here in The Shop on our big screen!
Oh.... and for all the riders who have spent time sliding across the macadam this year....

Mink and I have been slacking off on the blog lately, but we are back today. We hosted a viewing of the World Cup Final yesterday and had a great turnout. Big thanks to everyone that showed up. Here are some pictures that I took.
And here are some of the beautiful faces of the spectators.
We are now showing the Tour De France. We hope that you keep coming in and enjoying the ambiance of coffee, outdoor gear, and sports on the flat screen. See you in the coming weeks.

It is no secret that The Tour begins on July 3rd..... or that Phil Ligget is one of the best announcers in the business.. But the hairstyles!
Come to our own Trailside Cafe and watch Le Tour with us! All the stages will be up on the big screen and Phil will not doubt treat us to a pile of "Ligget-isms."
Peace!

Summer is picking up, bikes and boats are flying out the door. I came into the shop this morning with the lovely surprise of a giant freight delivery truck packed with new kayaks. I was not only excited for the prospect of a day of lugging boats up four flights of stairs, but we now have a tremendous selection of the Berkshire favorite Pungo 100's and and 120's. In case you haven't heard yet we also have another series of boats from a company called Elie. They are pretty similar to the Pungos but at a little bit of a lower price. We are now stocked to the gills, open, and ready to supply boating equipment to Western Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut. As you might imagine, I approached this sight with trepidation.
Here are the Elies. Don't they look sexy in their packaging.
So now that you know kayaks are here, come and get them. Also wish me luck that I don't break my back today.
